Wausau Secures O'Hare Order

March 5th, 2010

Wausau Equipment Company, Inc. has secured an order for an additional fifteen multi-function units from O'Hare International Airport.  Wausau delivered the first unit of a contract for thirty units in January 2010.  The additional order for fifteen was secured after O'Hare put the first unit through a rigorous performance testing and evaluation process.  The "combination machines" that will be delivered to O'Hare are designed for high speed snow removal and feature Wausau's "Bluemax" BMP2450 high speed runway snowplow along with Wausau's "TowSaw" TOW5220 broom and airblast system.  The broom head, 46" in diameter and 20'6" long, is completely stowable in an elevated cradle position.  The broom is capable of moving from operational mode to elevated cradle stow position automatically with the touch of a button.  The multi-function units were sold with Airport Technologies' Snow Mauler chassis through SES Equipment, Inc.
