We are pleased to announce that our new satellite facility in the Town of Fond du Lac, WI is finished and open for business. Wausau Equipment Company is the first to occupy the Fond du Lac Aeronautical Industrial Park on the north side of the Fond du Lac County Airport. The company purchased more than six acres in the new industrial park directly adjacent to the airport, and has an option to purchase another six acres for future expansion. Wausau’s headquarters and main plant remains in New Berlin, WI, just west of Milwaukee. Fond du Lac is located approximately one hour directly north of Milwaukee.
The 22,050 square foot facility was constructed in order to support an expanding range of heavy-duty snow removal and ice control products. The building is specifically designed for R&D and final product assembly. Our growing product range includes heavy-duty snowplows, high speed rotary brooms, loader- and truck-mounted snow blowers, and spray deicing systems for both roads and runways. Wausau has an FAA-approved agreement with Fond du Lac County to use the airport for product testing and customer demonstrations.
